PTH Intact (ICMA) and Ionized Calcium - The assay is useful in making the diagnosis of primary hyperparathyroidism secondary hyperparathyroidism and a differential diagnosis of hypercalcemia. The assay helps in distinguishing hypercalcemia caused by either primary hyperparathyroidism or malignant disease.
